Three Natural Remedies for Anxiety

Three Natural Remedies for Anxiety

As with any natural remedies for health issues, herbs are often looked to as the answer. There are three herbs in particular that can help relieve anxiety. It is important to know that these herbs should not be taken if you are already taking a medication for anxiety, sleep, depression, or if you are taking a blood thinner.

The first herb that you can use to help in relieving anxiety is Skullcap. This herb is often the most helpful to relieve muscle tension, which helps to relieve restlessness and to relieve clenching of the jaw as well. If you are one of the many who have a hard time sitting or lying still, then Skullcap might be the right herb for you.

Another beneficial herb for relieving anxiety is Passionflower. This herb is very helpful for those who are overly exhausted which can create anxiety. It is helpful for calming the nerves and calming the brain so that it is easier to fall asleep.

The third herb for treating anxiety is Kava Kava. It is an excellent sedative. It is also been shown to be hypnotic too. Some people find that, when they take this herb, they get some pain relief and a bit of numbing too.

Having anxiety can be debilitating especially if it causes you to have restless sleep or no sleep. Sleep is needed in order to function mentally and physically during the day.
